ISTQB Foundation Level Exam for ISTQB CTFL Certification

ISTQB Foundation Level is the entry level certification in the ISTQB certification structure. This exam's name describes the exam well because the exam is focused on foundational software QA knowledge. You will be tested on software testing terminology, concepts, and principles. Note that the ISTQB Foundation Level is also sometimes referred to by its acronym: ISTQB CTFL. The full form of CTFL is “Certified Tester Foundation Level”.

ISTQB Foundation Level certification (CTFL) is your easy first step toward improved software testing, software testing jobs, and promotions. Companies want QA testers to have ISTQB Foundation Level from ASTQB because they are better at reducing defects, risks, and costs. The ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (CTFL) exam from ASTQB is required for everyone who tests software full-time or part-time, including software testers, QA analysts, product owners, developers, and automation engineers.

Note: The current ISTQB Foundation Level exam (3.1) can be taken through May 9, 2024. The ISTQB Foundation Level exam 4.0 (CTFL 4.0) will be available in the middle of this year. Both versions are equally valid and lead to the same certification, so we believe it will be easier for you to prepare for the current exam version.
